Academic commitments, memberships
Prof Dmitty Usachev is a curator of a number of the scientific topics planned at Burdenko Centre. Under his leadership 7 PhD and 1 Dr Med Sci theses were defended;
2 more PhD and 1 Dr Med Sci papers are to be defended.
He constantly takes part as a Speaker in Russian and international scientific conferences and congresses, educational courses in neurosurgery at the basis of Burdenko centre and in different regions of our countries.
Prof Dmitty Usachev is an operating neurosurgeon with about 400 operations being annually performed in patients with the CNS and brain vessel pathologies.

Spheres of interest
Different fields of neurosurgery: stenosed and occlusive pathology of brain vessels, brain and spine tumors.
For all these years Prof Dmitty Usachev has recommended himself as a highly motivated and hardworking professional, whose special interests are new surgical techniques and new fields of research in different areas of neurosurgery, as well as recent medical publications at home and abroad . He is Head of the academic staff Attestation commission and a curator of surgical and educational activity of Burdenko Centre in neurosurgery.

He is an author of 38 scientific publications on most actual problems in neurosurgery, 4 monographs.
